Watersports

SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board)

Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) is an offshoot of surfing that originated in Hawaii. Unlike traditional surfing where the rider sits until a wave comes, stand up paddle boarders stand on their boards and use a paddle to propel themselves through the water.

Mega SUP

Team up on a Mega SUP for a paddling extravaganza! Coordinate with your Mega SUP comrades as you navigate the waters on this oversized stand-up paddleboard. It's not just a paddle; it's a team experience filled with laughter and splashes.

Water Inflatables

Water Inflatable's

Climb, balance, and bounce on the water! Scale the inflatable iceberg climbing tower, teeter-totter on the water with the See-Saw, and bounce off the trampoline straight into the water. Challenge your friends on the floating Saturn, creating waves of friendly competition.

Water Wheel

Become a dynamic duo in our giant inflatable hamster wheel. Work together with a friend to propel the water wheel forward and see how far you can go. It's a test of teamwork and coordination.

Kayaking

Kayaking offers an exciting and fun-filled session afloat. Paddle in closed cockpit kayaks led by our skilled staff while trying to stay dry as you navigate the waters, mastering the art of paddling.

Canadian Canoe

Canoeing is a way of travelling over water through the use of a canoe. A small craft which is propelled through the use of a paddle. The canoeing permit refers to open canoeing, a craft that does not have a deck enclosing the occupant(s) and which was designed to be paddled using a single bladed paddle, usually from a kneeling position.

Bell Boats

Experience stability and teamwork on our Bell Boats. These connected, canoe-like crafts accommodate up to 10 paddlers. Propel the boat through the water using single-bladed paddles, fostering teamwork and coordination. Bell Boats offer an ideal introduction to water sports, combining stability with the thrill of collective paddling.

2 teams in the woods, who can get the most points, enjoy games such as Domination, Evasion, Capture the flag and the Eliminator in our outdoor Laser Tag arena.

Back to basics. You will be transported to a wilderness location where you will practice basic survival techniques. Building bivouacs, lighting fires who knows what else you will learn to do?

Backwoods Cooking

If your only experience of backwoods cooking is stuffed apples, potatoes or bananas wrapped in foil then this activity is a must for you. Try Cordon Bleu cooking - without utensils

Bushcraft Zone 2

Advanced bushcraft refers to a set of skills and knowledge that go beyond basic survival techniques in outdoor environments. It involves a deep understanding of nature, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in the wilderness using minimal tools.

Woodland Crafts

Make your own mallet by drilling a 25mm diameter hole into the head using a scotch eye auger or bit and brace. The shafts are made by shaving down the end of a suitable straight branch using a drawknife and a shave horse, then a rounder (big pencil sharpener). The shaft is then knocked into the head and secured with a wedge.

Why not try our brand new Waterzorb Sausage? It's a double zorb, very similar to our Waterzorb balls but elongated in a sausage shape - and two riders can zorb at once.

Unlike our Water-rollers which are also two-man, you can tip a Waterzorb Capsule up on end with a bit of teamwork! Highly recommended for older riders looking for something really quite challenging - and spectators looking for something large, eye-catching and really very funny!!!

3G Swing

This high adrenaline activity encourages individuals to set their own goals and challenge their limits, whilst building trust with their teammates. The group work together to hoist one participant in a harness up in the air on our 3G swing, as high or low as they like. When they are ready, the participants will pull the ripcord to release themself and feel the G-force as they swing back and forth.

Roll into a world of laughter and competition with our Hamster Zorbs – an outrageously fun collision of zorbing, racing, and the timeless sport of bowling! Envision yourself inside a giant hamster zorb, eagerly awaiting the thrill of the race down our specially designed track. Your mission: to aim for the oversized bowling pins at the end and score big.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some common questions and answers about the adventure camp are below, we hope these are of some use

1) Do leaders need to attend the camp?: No there is no requirement for leaders to attend however, they are responsible for transporting scouts to and from the site (or ferry terminal for island camps). Leaders who do wish to attend can only do so by completing the staff application form.
2) When do I need to Pay?: Once your application has been accepted, you have 14 days to make payment via bank transfer or cheque to secure your places.
3) If leaders don't need to attend who will look after the scouts: All scouts attending will be split into 6 subcamps. Each subcamp has a subcamp leader with a team that are responsible for looking after the scouts. When on activities we have activity leaders in place who will look after the scouts.
4) What are the catering arrangements?: Scouts are expected to supply food and cook for themselves, this is why the age limit for the camp is 11+, however soup is provided after activities as well as supper on Saturday & Sunday evenings.
5) Will cooking equipment be supplied?: Cooking equipment must be brought as part of the group kit list which is distributed a few weeks before the camp.
6) Will Scouts attending get a choice of activities?: Unfortunately not. However, we will aim to give all scouts a balanced and varied programme, there will be drop in sessions each evening which will give scouts the opportunity to try some activities they have not been allocated to.
7) One of my scouts is under 11 will they be able to attend?: This is a decision you as the leader really needs to make! The camp is advertised as 11+ because the scouts should be self sufficient but if you feel the scout under 11 will cope then we will accept them.
8) Is there a kit list?: Yes, this is issued a few weeks before the camp and will be available on the Downloads page after the closing date.
9) I have forgotten to apply and it is passed the closing date, can I still send scouts?: Unfortunately after the closing date no more applications will be accepted.
10) I have Young Leaders who want to attend as staff can they come: Young leaders can not attend, all staff need to be 18 at the time of the event.
11) One of my scouts needs to leave early or arrive late is this a problem?: No not at all. As long as transport is arranged to and from site they can join in when they arrive or finish an activity early. Please ensure you let us know so we can ensure the scout is allocated to an onsite activity.
12) Do i need to book the ferry / pay ferry ticket for Island Camps?: No the camp starts at the ferry terminal
13) What if one of my scouts drop out?: If you have scouts drop out we encourage you to replace within your group however if you are unable to do this we can offer a refund up until 31st January. After this date we will only accept replacements. Additionally, we will not be allowing any swaps after 19th April on the year of the camp.
